New restaurant concept to open at Theatre Royal Drury Lane

LW Theatres has announced that Caprice Holdings will open a one-of-a-kind restaurant within the newly revived Theatre Royal Drury Lane when it re-opens in autumn 2020.

Caprice Holdings encompasses many London restaurants, including Sexy Fish, Scott’s and Le Caprice.

It will operate the new restaurant, which is billed as the food and beverage cornerstone of the new destination, in an adjoining building on Catherine Street, recently acquired to become a part of the new Theatre Royal Drury Lane.

LW Theatres is in the middle of a £60 million restoration project of Theatre Royal Drury Lane.

Andrew Lloyd Webber said: “I am delighted to announce this partnership with Richard Caring and Caprice Holdings. Richard is a brilliant restauranteur and showman, both of which are essential to ensuring the theatre will continue to be a vibrant part of Covent Garden life. He is behind many of the countries most loved and entertaining restaurants, making it a perfect match to our ambitious project at Theatre Royal Drury Lane. I’m thrilled to be working together.”

The revived Theatre Royal Drury Lane will be open to the public all day and will features bars, a restaurant, afternoon tea and more.
